Demeter Fertility Treatment Update during COVID-19

At Demeter Fertility we have been continuing to monitor the worldwide coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. Our Company COVID-19 Response Team has been actively monitoring the evolving global impact of the virus, as well as responding to the latest advice & recommendations from the Australian Department of Health and the Fertility Society of Australia regarding fertility treatment.


Demeter Fertility has recommenced all fertility services including IVF and ICSI. For patients undergoing IVF treatment, Demeter Fertility is able to offer egg collection procedures under local anaesthetic, as well as in-patient hospital procedures.

At Demeter Fertility we continue to monitor the coronavirus pandemic and respond to the latest advice and recommendations from experts including but not limited to; the Federal and State Governments’ Departments of Health, the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Fertility Society of Australia.

Individually, the health of all of our clients, staff and associated personnel at Demeter Fertility is paramount and therefore we will require that the strict protocols that we have implemented to ensure we minimise the chance of viral transmission be continued.

The symptoms of Covid-19 Symptoms may include fever, cough, sore throat, nausea/vomiting, and difficulty breathing. Difficulty breathing is a sign of possible pneumonia and requires immediate medical attention.

It can take up to 14 days for symptoms to show after a person has been infected. A person is considered infectious for 48 hours before symptoms show and up to 48 hours after symptoms resolve.
